that can be physically empty or just huge containers without any program inside or vast public spaces not activated.
The bigger one, the long strip identificated in the railway, can be folded and assume the caratheristic of ever-changing landscape, depending on the condition on its borders.

Building cycles shows the activeness of the non-residential buildings and the changing economic climate of Molenbeek as a whole; the usage of th buildings indicates also the social and cultural profile of the area. The other layer of frequency of usage of public space suggests the attractiveness of the open space. It refects, together with the Quality index which gives the content of the quality of open space, the hierachy of concentration of Molenbeek and moreover, what makes the concentration, from which, one could identify the various voids in Molenbeek and try to suggest a holistic strategy of fill-in system to activate the voids (by time and use) .
